Hispanics Powering Progress

Each year, we honor Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 through October 15) by recognizing the invaluable contributions of the Hispanic community. We work to help make lives better in small but meaningful ways, every day, and this month-long celebration allows us to spotlight the achievements of Hispanics, while gaining a deeper understanding of the diverse Latino population in the U.S.

Unlocking Potential: Hispanics Powering Progress

Our theme this year continues to build on previous years — Hispanics Powering Progress. We recognize and celebrate the values that resonate deeply within the Hispanic community, such as determination, resilience, and an entrepreneurial spirit, which are also fundamental to our innovative culture.

Hispanic progress is American progress. Throughout our history, P&G has been dedicated to serving and supporting the Hispanic community, together with our brands and partners.

Capitanes del Futuro Expands Impact for Hispanic Youth

Capitanes del Futuro — a youth leadership program built in partnership with Major League Soccer in 2021 and presented by Gain, Dawn and Downy, in partnership with Walgreens — unveiled exciting new initiatives designed to inspire and empower Hispanic youth and create a lasting impact in their lives.

Building on a successful 2023 campaign, Capitanes del Futuro is bringing three new ways to extend its impact with U.S. youth by offering:

  • Free access to inspirational content from leaders in soccer, available on capitanesdelfuturo.org.
  • Local in-person events in partnership with MLS soccer clubs designed to expose kids to a wide variety of professional careers in soccer.
  • An immersive week-long summer program designed to provide hands-on experience and guided professional development in a variety of fields.

"By expanding access to inspirational content, local events and an immersive summer program, we are strengthening Capitanes’ impact and creating opportunities for more Hispanic youth to envision and navigate a path to a fulfilling professional career using soccer as a passion point.”
