At P&G, our legacy of serving consumers with superior-performing products is built on more than 188 years of innovation. It's also built on a deep-rooted commitment to growing and nurturing the leaders of today and tomorrow. We know that the future of innovation — and our ability to truly connect with and serve consumers around the world — depends on developing the next generation of talent. This dedication to fostering potential is fundamental to who we are and is one of the reasons P&G has been recognized as a Best Place for Future Leaders by TIME and one of America’s Most Innovative Companies by Fortune.

Mentorship is one of the key ways we do this, meeting our people and consumers where they are and working with our brands to provide opportunities that make life better for everyone we serve. Together with longstanding partner organizations, we help cultivate a culture of learning, development, and engagement that makes a meaningful impact in the communities where we live and work.

Building Strong Leaders and Strong Communities

One way we foster leadership and opportunity for youth is through our longstanding partnership with the YMCA. A cornerstone of this work is the YMCA’s Young Men Thriving Initiative, a program that provides mentorship, skill-building workshops, and practical career-planning tools to boys ages 11–17. This program equips young men with the confidence, connections, and capabilities they need to navigate their educational journeys, transition successfully into careers, and become leaders in their communities. In a testament to the program's impact, Michael DeVaul, National Executive Director and the initiative's founder, was recently honored with the NFL's 2025 Inspire Change Changemaker Award for his dedication to creating meaningful impact through education and economic advancement.

Through its School of Swagger, Old Spice has supported the YMCA's efforts, recognizing the profound impact mentorship can have on shaping bright futures and building stronger communities. The partnership included a range of student-focused events, including a gathering in Chicago that brought 200 boys together with the Old Spice mascot, helping make career paths more tangible and exciting while expanding access to new opportunities.

Building on this work and our partnership, we hosted a "Discover P&G Career Day" at our global headquarters in Cincinnati. The event welcomed 25 boys and young men in grades 9-12 from the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati for an immersive, behind-the-scenes look at the vast world of career opportunities within P&G.

Participants explored everything from the design of innovative products like Gillette razors to crafting signature scents for Old Spice, hearing directly from brand leaders and employees about their unique career journeys. A key part of the experience was connecting these young leaders with members of the P&G African American Leadership Network (AALN) and its “Am I My Brother’s Keeper” (AIMBK) employee group, who offered invaluable mentorship and a vision of what career pathways can look like within a global company. These moments helped showcase possibilities and inspire the next generation of talent.

Empowering the Next Generation

The future of leadership is bright — and we're helping light the way through our partnership with Major League Soccer (MLS) and Family Dollar on Capitanes del Futuro, a free soccer-based educational program designed to inspire, support, and empower the next generation of leaders.

Capitanes del Futuro provides valuable mentorship and inspiration through local community engagement events, access to digital content, and immersive learning experiences that offer an opportunity for participants to connect with roles models who reflect their aspirations — showing them what's possible and equipping them with the tools to get there.
