Scaling Industry-Wide Solutions That Reduce Environmental Impact
At Procter & Gamble, our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our immediate operations. It encompasses a comprehensive strategy designed to deliver environmental impact at three levels:
- Reducing our own impact
- Helping consumers reduce their impact
- Helping scale solutions across industries
Scaling solutions is crucial to our strategy, emphasizing collaboration and innovation to enhance sustainability across value chains. We recognize this is essential for achieving our environmental goals.
By sharing innovations and engaging with industry leaders, P&G contributes to accelerating the pace of change that benefits both business and the planet.
Technology to Catalyze Industry Progress
Sustainability Solutions by P&G brings together meaningful technologies designed to tackle tough sustainability challenges the company faces across multiple business sectors.

Key P&G innovations together with technology partnerships enable us to support a circular future and keep materials in use for longer. Our commitment to these circular solutions is also highlighted at industry events like the K Show or Packaging Europe, where we demonstrate our latest sustainable packaging technologies and foster collaboration with peers.
- VersoVita dissolution recycling technology, developed by P&G and scaled in collaboration with PureCycle. This technology improves the quality of recycled polypropylene, a key material used across many industries.
- FlexLoop developed by P&G and licensed for scaling to Lindner Washtech, is a recycling technology that reliably removes contaminants, odors, adhesives and printing inks from plastic waste and returns it to a quality fit for demanding applications such as food packaging, personal care products, and medical supplies, which are important for consumer safety and hygiene.
- Versa Fill 2.0 is a paper-based packaging solution created by P&G that replaces traditional fillers like bubble wrap to protect smaller bottles and tubes during shipping. Its adaptable design securely holds products in place, preventing damage, making it an important innovation for safe transport.
We know that no single technology can solve every challenge, which is why partnerships are essential. Through collaboration, we continue to explore solutions in supply chain efficiency, formula compaction, material lightweighting, business analytics, low-carbon feedstocks, transportation, and bio-based materials — all contributing to our shared environmental goals.
Joining Forces With Partners and Peers

In addition to technology collaborations, P&G partners with the nonprofit and public sectors to accelerate innovation and build resilience in an ever-changing world.
- Partnerships with RIMBA Collective, Rainforest Alliance, and World Wildlife Fund (WWF) enable us to support communities and landscapes that are critical to resilient supply chains.
- To enhance and enable more effective curbside recycling systems for consumers, P&G partners with organizations like The Recycling Partnership, Delterra, and Circulate Capital.
- We are working with partners like Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) and Agua Capital who have deep knowledge of local challenges to support one-the-ground partners implement long-term projects that improve, manage, or protect freshwater resources, a resource critical to the manufacture and use of our products.
- Industry coalitions and expert partners like 50 Liter Home Coalition, Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW), and World Resources Institute (WRI) help us better understand the environmental impacts associated with how products like ours are used and/or disposed of. We can then use this practical insight to further efforts in helping consumers reduce their footprint.
Engaging Globally to Accelerate Collective Impact
During global sustainability events such as New York Climate Week, World Water Week, and Sustainable Brands, P&G engages with partners, peers, and stakeholders to share insights and showcase how our initiatives can inspire broader industry action.
These gatherings serve as platforms for dialogue and idea-sharing, enabling participants to address shared environmental challenges and advance progress.
