P&G Innovates for Every Stage of Life

At P&G, we innovate to meet the unique needs of people at every stage of life, so everyone can thrive. This includes key moments in the lives of women and girls, from menstruation and pregnancy to sometimes-overlooked transitions like menopause. We strive to ensure everyone we serve feels recognized, seen and supported through each of life’s journeys.

Helping Women Navigate Their Menopause Journey

Worldwide, over 27 million women experience menopause each year. Perimenopause, the transitional period leading up to menopause, can begin years earlier, and its symptoms often overlap with other health conditions.

Despite affecting so many, perimenopause and menopause are often misdiagnosed and misunderstood. Individuals may experience anywhere from 30-70+ varying symptoms starting in perimenopause — some of which may not be associated with menopause. Most women feel inadequately prepared for this stage of life, and only 18% feel very informed about the impact of hormonal changes that come with aging. There’s a significant opportunity to support women with resources and solutions to help them navigate perimenopause and menopause with resilience.

At P&G, our dedication to employee well-being is embedded in our workplace culture of inclusion and belonging. To support our employees or their family members experiencing this transition, we offer resources like:

  • Handbooks that provide practical information and guidance for employees and their managers on understanding and managing menopause in the workplace.
  • Dedicated menopause employee networks that create safe spaces for connection, shared experiences and mutual support among colleagues.
  • Through platforms like Maven in the U.S., we offer 24/7 access to personalized care and expert guidance on a range of women’s health topics including menopause, ensuring our employees have tailored support for their health journeys.

These resources help foster a culture where every employee can belong and succeed. And when our employees have the tools needed to thrive in the workplace, they feel empowered to share their ideas, experiences and insights, leading to innovative and superior brand solutions that meet consumers’ unique needs during menopause.

Meeting the Needs of Women During Menopause

We’ve built many of the world’s most trusted and valued brands loved by generations of women and girls by understanding, reflecting and designing for their specific needs — and this includes during perimenopause and menopause.

  • Staying fresh at every stage: Hormonal fluctuations during menopause can bring new experiences, including increased perspiration and body odor. Secret products, including its Clinical Antiperspirant and aluminum-free Whole Body Deodorant collections, provide powerful, long-lasting protection. And earlier in 2025, through initiatives like Let's Talk Menopause, in collaboration with New York Times bestselling author Tamsen Fadal — who through her work helps guide women through menopause — Secret aims to encourage open conversation, address stigmas and provide women with the tools they need to better manage symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats.

  • Support for bladder leaks: Always Discreet provides reliable, discreet protection against bladder leaks. Its advanced designs offer both comfort and absorbency, so women can stay focused on what matters most and live life on their own terms, without interruption.

  • Adapting to changing menstrual needs: Menstrual flow during menopause can be heavier or more unpredictable. We develop solutions that adapt to different body shapes and flow levels, ensuring comfort, protection and confidence. P&G brands like Always and Tampax are at the forefront of this innovation, constantly evolving to provide superior period protection tailored to individual needs.

  • Caring for changing skin: As estrogen levels decline, skin can become drier and thinner and lose elasticity. Olay’s scientifically formulated products help combat dryness, restore hydration and improve skin's resilience. The result? Healthy, vibrant skin that helps women feel radiant at every age.

At P&G, we are continuously listening, learning and innovating to meet the evolving needs of people at every age and stage of life. From our employees to our consumers, we’re here to help women navigate life’s transitions — and help everyone thrive.
