OUR COMMUNITY IMPACT

Improving Lives and Strengthening Communities Every Day

For decades, P&G has served the communities where our employees live and work. Through long-standing partnerships, we’ve supported the health and well-being of communities across the U.S.

Generations of Partnership: From UNCF to The Community Chest to United Way

Our commitment to community care traces back to our early years. James N. Gamble’s support of Mary McLeod Bethune’s Daytona School in 1904 led to P&G’s long-standing partnership with UNCF and commitment to education equality.

Disaster relief efforts followed the devastating 1913 flood, after which Gamble recognized the need for a unified approach to charity. His leadership helped create The Community Chest—America's first consolidated charitable campaign—evolving into what we know today as United Way.

More than a century later, P&G, our employees, and retirees continue to support its mission in communities across the U.S., driving this long-standing commitment to giving and community impact.
