Brands and Beyond: How P&G Is Making an Impact in the Communities We Serve
At P&G, we have a long history of showing up for the communities where we live and work with the same dedication, innovation and collaborative spirit that guide how we serve our consumers — whether that’s advancing children’s education, providing essential products and services in times of disaster or delivering hope and opportunity through the critical resource of clean water.
The impact of this work is reflected in countless lives touched and futures transformed, and we’re recognizing three special milestones for our cornerstone community impact programs that have been making a meaningful difference for children and families around the world for many years.
How Does Tide Loads of Hope Support Families After a Disaster?
When disaster strikes a community, the aftermath can be overwhelming, which means the simple everyday comfort of clean clothes can offer a sense of normalcy and dignity. For 20 years, we’ve worked with partners like Matthew 25: Ministries to deliver the much-needed service of clean clothes to families impacted by disasters through the Tide Loads of Hope program.

Born after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Tide Loads of Hope deploys state-of-the-art mobile laundry units to provide free, full-service laundry to those in need. The P&G Disaster Relief program also provides shower services, offering private bathrooms and accessible shower units. Stocked with personal care products from P&G brands such as Head & Shoulders, Ivory and Pantene, these services meet essential needs during challenging times.

Through Tide Loads of Hope, P&G brands and partners provide free laundry services, helping restore dignity and a sense of normalcy to communities impacted by disaster.
For the Tide Loads of Hope program’s 20th anniversary, P&G volunteers joined Matthew 25: Ministries to pack care kits for families in need. These kits, filled with trusted P&G brands like Crest, Old Spice and Tampax, are part of our commitment to delivering everyday necessities when they’re needed most.

How is P&G #ErasingTheLearningGap for Children in India?
P&G Shiksha, our flagship community impact program in India, is also celebrating 20 years of progress and dedication. Launched in 2005 with a vision to provide access to quality education for underserved children, Shiksha has since grown to focus on enhancing learning outcomes and help #EraseTheLearningGap, building brighter futures for over five million children across the country.
"Volunteering on the ground and witnessing the joy of children studying and chasing their dreams has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career," shares P&G employee Pooja Pant.

Through P&G Shiksha, children in India have access to quality education, helping to #EraseTheLearningGap and build brighter futures.
Partnership is central to P&G Shiksha’s impact. By working alongside trusted organizations like the Pratham Education Foundation and collaborating with P&G brands such as Vicks, Whisper and Tide, the program can reach and impact more children. “Our collaboration has allowed us to design and test educational approaches at a scale that would have been difficult to achieve alone," explains Rukmini Banerji, CEO, Pratham Education Foundation, highlighting the success of joint initiatives like a recent initiative designed to help address learning gaps for children.
What Does 25 Billion Liters of Clean Water Mean for Communities Around the Globe?
Clean drinking water has the power to transform lives, enabling better health, strengthening education and unlocking economic opportunity. For over 20 years, working with more than 150 partners, the P&G Children’s Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) Program has provided access to clean water for children and families around the world. In 2025, the program reached a meaningful milestone: 25 billion liters of clean water delivered in more than 100 countries.
This milestone was announced at Global Citizen Festival, where P&G, alongside longtime partner organizations like Americares and CARE, recognized the program’s life-changing impact.
Hear a heartfelt "Thank You!" from children around the world impacted by the P&G CSDW Program.
At the core of the program is the P&G Purifier of Water technology, which removes dirt and impurities, kills common waterborne bacteria and viruses and eliminates parasites that cause disease. This innovation helps reduce waterborne illnesses and the time families spend collecting water — keeping children healthy and in school to support their education and futures. With greater access to clean water, communities can pursue more economically beneficial opportunities, building resilience for generations to come.

Bonface is a young man from Kenya who not only benefited from the clean water provided by the P&G CSDW Program; he also became an advocate, educating his peers to promote hygiene, sanitation, and overall well-being.
To recognize the people and organizations that helped make 20+ years of impact possible, we held a commemorative event in Washington, D.C. Hosted by award-winning education advocate and filmmaker Zuriel Oduwole, this event brought together many of the partners whose tireless efforts bring the #PowerOfCleanWater to millions of people in even the hardest-to-reach places. Together, we will continue to provide this essential resource where it’s needed most, especially during emergencies.
