Creating the Consumer Packaged Goods Company of the Future

The same external landscape changes that are affecting us in the short term — media fragmentation, retail landscape, inflation — also represent long-term opportunities to leap ahead and invent the consumer packaged goods company of the future.
The key to winning is to redefine what it takes to build the strongest, most consumer-relevant, superior brands in the industry, and P&G has the unique strengths and capabilities to do just that — putting the consumer first in everything we do.
We have some of the most well-known and iconic brands in the world — brands with large consumer bases. The equity of these brands is unmatched.
We know how to build brands rooted in deep connections with consumers.
We have an enormous wealth of consumer data and understanding. We transparently engage with consumers across more touchpoints than anyone in our industry — including product research, shopper research, connected homes, ratings and reviews, social media posts, brand fan clubs and many more.
We have a unique set of innovation capabilities in our industry — substrate technologies, formulaic chemistry, devices and biology. We have years of experience integrating these capabilities to launch new platform technologies and innovations, and we see many more opportunities to combine these technologies to bring new consumer-preferred products to life. New technologies, like AI-enabled molecular discovery, will drive faster acceleration and more powerful integration of innovation capabilities, leading to faster growth.
We have tremendous supply chain capabilities. The upgrades we have made in P&G’s Supply Chain are driving a more seamless system connection, linking purchase signals back through inventory management, production planning and material ordering to help ensure consumers find the product they want every time they shop. We know how to automate, digitize and autonomize our operations, and, more importantly, we have qualified a financial framework to payout these investments.
Finally, we have built a structured data lake stocked with petabytes of relevant data. We have built data platforms, AI capabilities, programmatic shelf tools, and media creation and evaluation systems. We are now actively and successfully scaling these technologies across our entire value chain, further maximizing their impact across all our categories.
We are now fully integrating all these strengths: our leading brands, deep consumer understanding, unique innovation expertise, industry-leading supply chain, and advanced data lake and digital platforms. As we close this loop, we believe this will create a new S-curve for future growth and value creation, centered around our consumers.
