Uniquely Inclusive and United for Growth

Recognizing P&G Change Makers Fueling a Culture of Equality & Inclusion.

“We aspire to create a company and world where equality and inclusion are achievable for all, while driving growth and creating value for our employees, through our brands, with our partners and communities,” Shelly McNamara, Chief Equality & Inclusion Officer, P&G.

As we continue to step forward in setting a higher standard of equality and inclusion, we are committed to inspiring everyone. It is our employees who are at the forefront of Equality & Inclusion at P&G, acting as a force that drives business growth and enabling us to have a meaningful, positive impact in the communities we serve. Their everyday work serves as a catalyst for progress and inspires others to do the same.

That’s why each year, we hold our annual Global Equality & Inclusion Awards, honoring employees, teams and organizations around the world who demonstrate the power of collective and sustained impact to help create equity, opportunity and inclusion that also fosters growth.

Here are just a few of this year’s winners who are committed to driving equality, inclusion, and making an impact both inside and outside of P&G.

INSPIRING INCLUSIVE ACTIONS THAT MOVE OUR COMMUNITIES FORWARD

The Pampers Black Maternal Health (BMH) Equity Team created a program that truly brings Pampers' purpose to life by addressing the foundation of a baby’s health and happiness—a healthy mom and baby. To take action to address the systemic discrimination that results in Black mothers being three times more likely to die from preventable pregnancy related causes, the Pampers BMH Team created a program that directly educates healthcare providers on the implicit bias at the core of these disparities and has created a suite of tools to empower and equip Black parents to advocate for and protect themselves.

E&I Awards NAN team

Creating spaces that enable dialogue, celebrate culture and drive education helps nurture inclusive mindsets and as the founders of the Native American Network (NAN), a P&G affinity group (employee resource group) that connects Native American employees to resources and a community of diverse talent improving life for tribal citizens, Shaun Howard and Jeffery Backer have done just that! Through their leadership, NAN has grown and spearheads several sustainability efforts that create positive outcomes that see people and planet thrive, including reforestation efforts on tribal lands.

FUELLING INCLUSIVE INNOVATION THROUGH OUR BRANDS

With around 135 million people in Europe living with some type of disability, P&G Beauty Europe has developed several interventions to make our brands — and our company — more accessible for every unique individual we serve. Since appointing an Accessibility Leader for Beauty Europe, the team has continued to set a high standard of inclusion such as Pantene in the U.K., where Pantene is making great hair days more accessible for people who are visually impaired.

STRENGTHENING EQUITABLE ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT WITH OUR PARTNERS

Taking action for diverse owned and led business, the Africa-Middle East-Asia (AMA) Supplier Diversity team crafted and successfully conducted the AMA P&G Women Entrepreneurs Academy Program to reach out to Women Entrepreneurs, equipping them with critical training to build on the skills needed to grow and achieve their aspirations.

Congratulations to this year’s honorees and all P&G employees for demonstrating the power of possibilities through our diversity and unity! We believe in the power of our differences and the impact we can make when we come together united by shared values and purpose towards common goals.
