Usually #MutzumMo campaign in Germany raises funds to support men’s physical and mental health during November by the Movember Foundation. In 2020, Gillette in DACH partnered for the first time with the Movember Foundation to raise funds for mental health support for workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
For every Movember special pack sold, Gillette donated €1 to Movember. A wide variety of partners are supporting Gillette to spread the message to all men to dare to grow a mo (short for moustache) and encourage conversations on men´s health. Among them were key drug retailer dm, celebrities and influencers, sports ambassadors including the football stars of FC Bayern Munich and ice hockey club Eisbären Berlin.
But Gillette DACH did not stop here: all men within P&G were asked as well to be more vocal on health related topics – whether they are growing a Mo themselves this November or not. Employees across all German sites - from SMO, GIC and all plants & DCs – were invited to a virtual speech hosted by Gillette and held by Movember spokespersons and ambassadors jointly with the P&G health department to provide hands on advice on cancer prevention, warnings signs for mental health problems and how to deal with them.
