P&G Takes A Million Steps To Close the Digital Divide

The COVID-19 pandemic has broadened the digital divide, especially in communities of color. In today's remote learning environment, students who lack access to an appropriate computing device, reliable wi-fi connectivity and technology support simply can't participate in their education. In response to this issue, we’ve leveraged our leadership of the Take on Race Coalition to partner with companies and community organizations nationwide to help solve the divide.

Through the One Million Connected Devices Now initiative, we will be able to help students acquire the tools they need to thrive in their education — putting one million devices with reliable internet connectivity and tech support in the hands of students of color for the 2020/2021 academic year.

Take on Race has raised $25 million for One Million Connected Devices Now with the help of leading corporations Dell Technologies, Intel, Dow Jones, Fidelity, Microsoft Corporation, PNC Bank, PolicyLink, Walmart, Comcast, in addition to our commitment. To scale, distribute and drive enduring impact in communities across America, we’re partnering with Harlem Children's Zone, StriveTogether, and INROADS.

At P&G, our goal is to Lead With Love in every community we touch. Learn how you can get involved with this initiative at takeonrace.org.
