U.S. COVID Policy Update: Maintaining a Safe Workforce

P&G’s number one priority from the earliest days of the pandemic has been employee health and well-being and the safety of our work environments, and we’ve taken significant steps to deliver against this priority—all to keep P&G people safe.

Today, we shared an update on our plans with all of our U.S.-based employees. While our objectives have not changed, we have simplified the choices—enabling each employee to take responsibility for creating a safe work environment for all, while continuing to respect individual choice.

Effective January 2022, we are offering the following choices for U.S.-based P&G employees:

  • Vaccination. We continue to strongly encourage vaccination against COVID-19. For employees choosing this option, P&G will provide up to four hours of paid time to receive each vaccination dose. We will also provide reasonable time away and paid sick leave to recover from any side effects following each dose.

  • No-Cost Weekly Testing. For employees choosing not to be vaccinated, P&G will provide, pay for, and facilitate weekly testing on-site during regular working hours. We now have a sufficient supply of testing kits and plan to begin weekly testing in early January.

These options provide a balanced approach to deliver on our ongoing commitment to health and safety, consistent with the recently announced standards from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Above all, P&G remains committed to protecting the health and safety of P&G people, maximizing the availability of our products to help people and their families with their cleaning, health and hygiene needs, and supporting the communities where we live and work as they manage through this challenging period.
